The transition from school or training to professional life is often a huge challenge for young people that comes with a large amount of uncertainty. Training paths and the labour market are rapidly changing, youth unemployment remains a major issue, and the Covid-19 pandemic has also aggravated the situation. It is therefore even more important that the life situation and living conditions of every single young person are taken into account, and that targeted measures are taken to enable or facilitate their transition to economic independence as a young adult.
